Sirhindi Begum was a wife and queen consort of the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. After her marriage she was titled with Sirhindi ‘Mahal’. It is believed that she was more religious than other wives of Shah Jahan. Sirhindi Masjid has been built by Shah Jahan’s wife Sirhindi which exists outside the city wall.

Sirhindi Tomb
Sirhindi Tomb exists in the east gate of the Taj complex which doesn’t have any water channels.
The tomb has the mosque facing it which is the unique feature in comparison of other two tombs. This could be the reason it is believed that Sirhindi Begum was more religious than other wives of Shah Jahan. But Fatehpuri Begum has build a larger mosque in Delhi which is in use nowadays.
